Upcoming Events In Minneapolis And New York City Honor Joey Ramone, Raise Money For Cancer Research
It's that time of year once again, kiddies, to remember Joey Ramone, the music of the Ramones, and to raise some cash for cancer research charities.
First up is the 2011 Ramones Mania show at Lee's Liquor Lounge in Minneapolis, this coming Friday evening, May 13th. Show starts at 8:00pm, suggested donation is $6 - $10. This yearly event features a lineup of several Twin Cities area bands doing short sets of Ramones tunes and is always a fun and unpredictable time.
The following Thursday, May 19th, a star-studded list of Joey's New York City friends, fans and family will gather as they do each year to celebrate his memory, raise money for charity and to rock the fuck out, this year at Irving Plaza. For more information visit JoeyRamone.com.
